What is Daniel and the Gang Off the Grid?
For about a year, from the winter of 2020 to the winter of 2021, Daniel and the Gang met for dances at The Jewel Lake Barn in the Hoodoo Valley. It was a particularly unique time in the Gang's history. There was something about "leaving town" and heading out to the woods that felt magical. Those who experienced it all have fond memories of it.
With the continued growth of the gang, many people have been asking me if there are more opportunities to dance! Everyone would love more chances to get together with their friends and share in a night of music and swing. And so, Daniel and the Gang (Off the Grid) was born.
In addition to our normal monthly dances (typically on the 3rd Friday of the month), Daniel and
the Gang will host an additional dance at a mystical barn in the woods... The Country Barn Bed and Breakfast! Located at: 18500 S Old Ln Rd, Cataldo, ID 83810
These events will be like the Gang’s typical dances but will feature new group dances such as The American
Hop, The Shamrock, The Grand Square, The Post T’s Jig, and the Footloose Line Dance. The
steady and consistent theme for these dances will be “Vintage Swing”/Old Time Swing.
Since the venue can’t accommodate the whole gang, we will be selling tickets in advance
and at the door. There will only be 100 tickets available, and once it is sold out,
there will be no admission beyond those who possess a ticket.
